After a full sunny day walking around Porto and sampling port, sangria and plentiful Portuguese food, we were ready for a relaxing evening, during which Alex (that’s a first) put together his videos from the day.
It was our second day in Porto and we wandered down to the Douro river, crossed over to Vila Nova de Gaia via the Ponte Luís I to strolled through the home of fabled Port Wine lodges like Taylors, Grahams, Sandeman and many others. Of course, we had to sample a few of the products, too. We recrossed the river via the under renovation lower bridge and made our way through the bustling crowds enjoying the late January sunshine in the outdoor cafes along the shore. Finally, we were serenaded by an enthusiastic university choir before heading back uphill into town. Great weather, great location and an enjoyable 10km walk.
